Exponential Machines, now known as Exponential AI, is a leader in enterprise AI for digital transformation. The company’s enterprise-grade AI platform, Enso, allows for evidence-based decision making and automation of enterprise processes.

Exponential Machines was included in Gartner’s 2019 Hype Cycle for Artificial Intelligence.(*1)

In Smarter With Gartner, titled “Top Trends on the Gartner Hype Cycle for Artificial Intelligence, 2019”, “Between 2018 and 2019, organizations that have deployed artificial intelligence (AI) grew from 4% to 14%, according to Gartner’s 2019 CIO Agenda survey.” (*2)

Exponential Machines was included in an analysis of Decision Intelligence by Gartner Analyst Erick Brethenoux. According to Brethenoux, “Decision intelligence (DI) is a practical domain framing a wide range of decision-making techniques. DI provides a framework that brings multiple traditional and advanced disciplines together to design, model, align, execute, monitor and tune decision models and processes. Those disciplines include decision management (including advanced nondeterministic techniques such as agent-based systems), decision support, continuous intelligence and process management; and techniques such as descriptive, diagnostics and predictive analytics.” (*1)

Brethenoux writes that “The current hype around automated decision making and augmented intelligence fueled by the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) techniques in decision making, is pushing DI toward the Peak of Inflated Expectations. An emerging market around various software disciplines is starting to provide sensible answers for decision makers, but it will take between five to 10 years for DI to reach the Plateau of Productivity.” (*1)

Exponential Machines was included as a sample vendor in the report.
